Becky Walker grew up with muddy knees, ponytails, and a mission to climb every tree in sight. Born in Memphis and raised across Kansas and Texas, she penned her first poem in fourth grade and never looked back. By high school, she was co-editor of the school newspaper and competing in writing competitions. Becky taught elementary school before becoming an author. She lives in Texas with her husband, and they have two grown children.
