Renée M. LaTulippe is the author of the poetry comics collection Limelight: Curtain Up on Poetry Comics!, the poem picture book The Crab Ballet, and a forthcoming free verse picture book with Creative Editions. She also has poems published in many anthologies including A Universe of Rainbows, If I Could Choose a Best Day, 40 Poems for 40 Weeks, No World Too Big, Night Wishes and School People, National Geographic’s The Poetry of US and Book of Nature Poetry, One Minute Till Bedtime, Poems Are Teachers, ThankU: Poems of Gratitude, A World Full of Poems, several editions of The Poetry Friday Anthology books, and others.
In the educational market, Renée has co-authored nine award-winning decodable readers (Moonbeam Children’s Books Silver Award, Mom’s Choice Gold Awards) and a collection of poetry, Lizard Lou, for All About Learning Press, where she was writer and editor for sixteen years.
Renée developed and teaches the online course The Lyrical Language Lab, provides free lessons and Peek & Critique sessions for children’s writers on her YouTube channel, and maintains the archives of her children’s poetry blog at NoWaterRiver.com. She earned her BFA in acting/directing from Marymount Manhattan College and her MA in English Education from NYU; taught English, theater arts, and public speaking in NYC; and is a lifelong theater person. Originally from upstate New York, she lives by the sea in Italy with her husband and three children.
